"The first time I met Silvia was after competing in the south/east divisional at like 2 lift gym, she was very approachable and friendly. I was not new to the powerlifting sport (6 years or so) but like most had very minimal progress. Silvia really changed this for me with her knowledge and approach to how I moved and lifted. "I was going to the gym a few times a week without following a plan and training whatever I fancied on that particular day, going between random pieces of gym equipment doing different amounts of reps and sets. Visible and physical progress had come to a halt and I had convinced myself that I had reached my limit in terms of what I could lift.

"I started training / coaching with Silvia at the beginning of July 2015. Just prior to this I had competed in Powerlifting in the GBPF Surrey Sussex and Kent championships. I had suffered a few setbacks, many in part due to poor mobility/ flexibility. Silvia set me a daily routine of foam rolling and dynamic stretches. I also had some 1 to 1 PT sessions which I believed helped me correct my form somewhat and allowed Silvia to see my 'movement patterns'. Since this time, I am pleased to say I have had no injuries, although I do suffer some stiffness in certain muscle groups due to training (mainly squats). This may be in part due to my age, 46 years now.
My goal was to lift in the SE championships in November. By following Silvia's program, training 3 nights per week consistently, I managed to increase my total from 445 to 495kgs. I am now starting another cycle of training heading toward another competition.
